Self-efficacy as a mediator of the relationship between pain and disability in chronic pain patients: a narrative review

Abstract Self-efficacy is an important indicator of psychological wellness, devoted to prescribed medications, along with pain-coping strategies in individuals who have chronic pain, a concept described as one’s confidence performing specific activity. Poor self-efficacy impediment rehabilitation and predicts long-term impairment. Higher can improve function prolong physical well-being people pain. Recent findings show that coping mechanisms play major role pain adaptation. SE beliefs are significant determinant habits. This article reviews the theory SE, importance application treating disability.
